What is Charleston Coach?
A training app for American Mahjong (NMJL) players that helps you master the Charleston — the tile-passing phase at the start of each hand — by showing pass suggestions based on probability against the current scoring card.
Do I need an account to use it?
No — Charleston Coach works standalone, with no login or sign-up required.
Which Mahjong rules does it support?
American Mahjong under the current National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card.
Does the app collect any of my data?
No. Charleston Coach does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information or usage data. Everything runs locally on your device.
I found a bug or have feedback — how do I reach you?
Email us at ljdanielson@gmail.com and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Will this work forever, or is it just for beginners?
Charleston Coach is built to train your instincts — many players use it while learning, then rely on it less over time as they get comfortable reading the card themselves.
